Education remains one of the highest priorities of this Commonwealth and its constituents. We must find a better way of looking at how we educate the next generation, how we improve the quality of education in Pennsylvania, and making education more affordable to taxpayers.

We must better prepare Pennsylvania’s students for employment opportunities for the future and encourage the development of new partnerships between schools and businesses in order to assure that students have the necessary tools to meet the demands of the workplace of the 21st century.

The Education and Workforce Development Task Force will:

• Study and craft 21st century education policies.
• Advance equitable education funding.
• Work to streamline and improve job training and re-training options available to Pennsylvania citizens.
